Ubuntu is a Nguni Bantu term meaning "humanity". It is sometimes translated as "I am because we are", or "humanity towards others". In Xhosa, the latter term is used, but is often meant in a more philosophical sense to mean "the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity". Wikipedia

PSAT

PSAT SCHOOL DAY - 4/2/25

A reminder that PSAT School Day will take place at Curtis High School this Wednesday, April 2nd.

Eligible 10th graders will take the PSAT on Wednesday.

Information for TEST-TAKERS (eligible 10th graders)

- Test-takers arrive at 9:15 AM and report to the auditorium via Exit 1

- Start Time: 10:30 AM

- End Time with NO Accommodations: 12:54 PM

- End Time with Accommodations: 2:11 PM

- Only school-issued devices may be used for the PSAT

- Test-takers must bring their fully charged, school-issued device with them for the PSAT

Information for NON-TEST-TAKERS

All NON-TEST-TAKERS will attend classes according to the following modified Bell Schedule:

Period 5 7:50-8:20
Period 6 8:24-8:54
Period 7 8:58-9:33
Period 8 9:37-10:07

NON-TEST-TAKERS will be dismissed from school at 10:07 AM following Period 8.
Food celebration cancelled

Celebration of International Foods cancelled

Due to the low number of participants, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 Celebration of International Foods scheduled for April 3rd. However, the Multicultural Celebration is still on for this Friday - April 4, 2025 starting at 5:30 pm. All tickets purchased for April 3rd will be refunded.

STEM NIGHT

Annual Family STEM Night on Thursday April 10, 2025 from 4:00-5:30pm
in the cafeteria.
STEM focused activities and challenges fun, school spirit event for our students, staff, and families. Students who participate in the STEM activities will receive prizes, snacks and extra credit in their science and math classes.
Families and siblings are welcomed to attend. FREE EVENT!
